HPP is pleased to have acted as seller’s legal counsel to Pohjan Voima Oy, the Finnish subsidiary of Arise AB (publ), a Swedish renewables developer and asset manager, on the divestment of the 125MW ready-to-build Keminmaa Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and provision of certain development services during the construction phase of the project. The buyer is Tundra Energy Oy, ultimately owned by funds advised by the Hamburg based Luxcara, a leading independent asset manager in the energy transition market.

When constructed, the project will be one of the country’s largest BESS assets and will benefit from a fast-track grid connection to Fingrid’s substation in the immediate vicinity of the project.
