Equality and well-being
We see diversity as a strength. We are constantly creating new opportunities to improve our collective well-being. We support teamwork, competence development, good health and make sure our employees are heard. We want to be trusted by our employees, clients and business partners alike.
Our employee handbook and the guidelines available to everyone on our Intranet provide a comprehensive description of our policies, both in terms of legislation and our Code of Conduct. In addition to the minimum legal requirements, we want to ensure staff well-being and promote recovery through, for example, excellent occupational health services, insurance, good work ergonomics and support for physical activities and services to maintain working capacity. We discuss the results of the annual employee survey with staff and jointly consider measures to improve our performance.
We do not accept any discrimination whether based on a person’s gender, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, ancestry, age, political opinions or religious beliefs. Gender equality is achieved in HPP, as around 51% of employees are female and 49% male. We are committed to treating our employees equally and with dignity, and to promoting sustained economic growth for everyone.
We support continuous training and learning for our employees. For example, our employees have an opportunity to maintain their legal skills through our internal HPP Academy training programme. We want to promote good education for children and young people, and our diverse trainee programme prepares young talents and students for their future careers. Our company has an active tutor model, through which experienced professionals spar with young talent to support their development and career goals.

We also expect our business partners and suppliers to treat people equally and require adherence to equality principles by those business partners and suppliers. We will respond promptly to any shortcomings or challenges in compliance with our principles on equality or with our agreement.Â

Our Corporate Responsibility Programme is based on our values and aligned with selected Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. Sustainability in our business operations is grouped according to ESG framework (Environment, Social, Governance).
