Daniel Villarreal is a member of the HPP Transactions team, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings and fund and Limited Partner advisory work, including partnership agreements related to fund investment and formation. As part of his client work, Daniel also advises on a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial issues relevant to the transaction he advises on.

Daniel has more than 15 years of experience advising corporate clients, both as a private practice attorney at leading law firms as well as in-house counsel for one of Finland’s largest institutional investor, for whom he was primarily responsible for the legal issues relating to investments into all unlisted asset classes. Due to this, Daniel has a strong focus on LP advisory work, frequently advising clients on their investments into various fund-type instruments, for both Finnish and leading global funds. He assisted in onboarding clients into several of the largest global superfunds, with fund sizes in the billions of Euros, and has an exceptionally thorough understanding of investor requirements in fund investments.

Daniel also has extensive experience in M&A , working on the full range and size of transactions of, frequently advising clients in both industrial as well as sponsor-led transactions, for both domestic and international clients. He has a strong experience in the entire spectrum of related transaction processes including equity capital raisings, capital loan arrangements, joint ventures and mergers and demergers. Prior to joining HPP, Daniel worked for several years at another leading Finnish law firm.
