Elvera Oy has agreed on 22 November 2023 on the acquisition of Voimatel Oy’s electricity network business. As a result of the acquisition, Elvera will become one of the leading infrastructure service providers in Finland. The deal is subject to the approval of the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority.
Elvera was founded in 2016 in a merger of the electricity infrastructure businesses of Suur-Savon Sähkö Oy, Kymenlaakson Sähkö Oy and Lappeenrannan Energia Oy. On completion of the transaction, Elvera will employ 250 new professionals in addition to the current 500 employees. The company’s turnover increases from 80 million euros to 130 million euros.
